Year 7 have made a great start to secondary school and concluded their first term with a focus on building community and leadership skills, inspired by the story of St Mary ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø.
The main event for this was the Year 7 Community Day on 22 March. Year 7 Community Day kicked off in the theatrette with a theatre performance on the life of St Mary ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø. The year group then split into House groups to participate in four fun and challenging activities. At the end of the day, Year 7 joined back together to discuss the qualities of a great leader, and have a conversation about joining the Student Representative Council for 2017.
Year 7 students then engaged in a process to elect a member of the Student Representative Council for each House, discussing the qualities of a good leader. Congratulations to all students who put their names forward for nomination.
The elected Year 7 student representatives were announced on the final day of Term 1 and were inducted into the SRC and presented with their leadership badges at the special Try ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø Day assembly in Week 2 of Term 2.
Congratulations to the elected student leaders in Year 7 for each House:
