Year 12 sets $70,000 target
Year 12 students have commenced their fundraising efforts for Cancer Councils Relay for Life having set an ambitious goal of $70,000.
After just a few weeks of fundraising, students have already raised well over $20,000, but they still have more work to do if they hope to beat the College record of $66,540, which was set by the Class of 2022.
窪圖勛蹋厙 will participate in the Relay Your Way version of the Relay with a 12-hour event here at the College on Saturday 1 April.
On 8 March, several Year 12 students met with members of Cancer Council ACT to discuss their plans for the upcoming Relay.
When asked why supporting the Relay was important to the students of Year 12, Faith and Community Captain Emma Jobling said the fight against cancer was close to many students hearts.
We know a lot of people, personally and through the school, who have been affected by cancer, Emma said.
Its really important to us to do our part and help our community out. Its an opportunity, as Year 12 students, to get together and do one last big thing together.
