Students dress to impress
The annual Spring Zing event gave ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏ꿉۪s Year 10 students the opportunity to dress up and party to celebrate the upcoming achievement of their Year 10 Certificate.
Held at the Woden Southern Cross Club on Friday 15 September, the Spring Zing’s Hollywood theme inspired students to dress as red carpet guests or as characters from their favourite movies.
The Year 10 Pastoral team dressed up as the Spring Zing security guards but the best dressed staff award went to Principal Lachlan McNicol, who turned up as Ken from the recent Barbie movie.
The winners of the student awards dressed as Pennywise (best individual), Aussie icons Kath and Kim and Danny and Sandy from Grease (best couples), and Top Gun and Barbie (best groups). However, all students are applauded for the effort they made to dress up for the evening.
After arriving at the venue, students got straight into the spirit of it by posing at the photo booth, partaking in the food and drink, and hitting the dance floor – which stayed active throughout the entire evening.
Congratulations to the students for the energy and maturity they brought, and thanks to the Year 10 Coordinators, Ms Leonie Sullivan and Mr Peter Johnson, for their organisation of the event. It sure was a night to remember!
