The Democracy DNA Exhibition
Students from ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø were invited to attend the launch of a new permanent exhibition at the Museum of Australian Democracy in the first week of Term 2.
The new exhibition, which is called ‘Democracy DNA – The People, the Prime Ministers, and the World’, was opened by former Prime Ministers Kevin Rudd and Tony Abbott.
Throughout their speeches, Mr Rudd and Mr Abbott encouraged the students, as young people, to work hard, speak up, get involved and engage in democracy.
ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø students were the first members of the public to access the new exhibition and to learn more about the history of democracy through interactive exhibits, artifacts, stories, and audio-visual displays.
Some students were also fortunate enough to have a conversation with Kevin Rudd about what makes a great leader and how they can become better leaders.
