ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø Day 2016

Wet conditions didn't dampen spirits as the College celebrated the Feast Day of its patron, St Mary of the Cross ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø, with the annual ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø Day Mass and Activities on Friday 9 September.

The day commenced with Mass at the Tuggeranong Basketball Stadium - one of the few venues large enough to hold our students, staff, and visitors - and concluded with a range of fun activities and stalls at the Isabella Campus.

The Mass was a moving occasion, with the College Choir creating a reflective and reverent mood and Fr Luke from the Corpus Christi Parish delivering an engaging homily.

The activities at the Isabella Campus were festive, with activities like bumper balls, skill games, live music, and a wide range of food and drink. The wet weather caused the cancellation of the Jumping Castle - one of the most popular attractions on ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø Day - but it failed to dampen spirits with high levels of participation despite the conditions.

All students are to be congratulated on their participation, dignity, reverence, and the spirited sense of community, which helped to make ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø Day a fantastic celebration of the Feast of our patron, St Mary ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø.

The College thanks Fr Luke and Deacon Vince Barclay for their important contribution in concelebrating the Mass, as well as all the staff involved in the organisation of the event. The College also thanks the many visitors, including students and teachers from other schools, parents, and past students of the College who joined us for the Mass.
