Goodbye and good luck, Year 12!

The 2025 Farewell Assembly

Students of the Class of 2025 have bid an emotional goodbye to ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø at the Year 12 Farewell Assembly on Friday 14 November.

It was a day of both celebration and sadness as the Graduating Class came to the end of their high school journey.

The day commenced with the Year 12 Breakfast in F Block at the St Peter's Campus, before the cohort moved to the gymnasium for their final assembly at ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø.

The assembly featured emotional tributes, lots of comedy, a huge number of dance and song performances, video clips, photo montages, and several reflections on the past six years. There were speeches from the College Captains, Head of Campus, Year Coordinators Peter Johnson and Belinda Fox, and one final speech at a St Peter’s Campus Assembly from the College Principal, Mr Michael Lee.

In his address, Mr Lee spoke about the community Year 12 had built, reflecting on the words of the late Queen Elizabeth II, who said, ‘happiness is heightened and sadness softened when it is shared’. After his speech, Mr Lee continued his tradition of reading the famous Dr Seuss book, Oh the Places You'll Go, and gifting each student a copy.

At the conclusion of the assembly, Year 12 exited the gymnasium for one last time to a guard of honour from staff and students that stretched all the way to the student car park. During this time, our Year 12s were able to personally thank the teachers, support staff, and students from other year groups who had helped make their time at ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø so memorable.

Many students were in tears as they came to the realisation that their time with their peers and teachers had come to an end.

The College congratulates the Class of 2025 on all they have achieved at ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø. Thank you for what you've contributed to the College – both collectively and individually – and good luck for the future!
