Genesis Owusu visits ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø

Past student and ARIA winner returns

On Wednesday 5 April, the College was very lucky to have a visit from past student Kofi Owusu-Ansah, who is more commonly known by his stage name, Genesis Owusu.

Kofi, a graduate from the Class of 2015, is a four-time ARIA Music Award winner and was also named the 2023 ACT Young Australian of the Year in November last year.

Kofi generously donated his time to be interviewed at assembly, talk on our Podcast, spend time with students and staff, and engage with our Senior Music class.

The Senior Campus thoroughly enjoyed hearing from Kofi as he spoke about the importance of self-love, self-reflection, pursuing his passion, what motivates him, navigating the music industry, carving a path in life and trusting others.

When he visited our Senior Music class, Kofi listened to and was extremely impressed with a number of original music tracks that had been produced by our Senior Music students. In return, Kofi played a couple of tracks from his next album, which is due to be released later this year.

The College is extremely grateful that Kofi was able to visit ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø for the day. Congratulations on your well-deserved success, Kofi, and good luck with your upcoming album and tour of the US!
