Busy end to Term 2

Pastoral events for Years 7-10

Students have had a busy end to Semester 1 with a range of pastoral events and trips away for Years 7 to 10.

In Week 19, Year 7 headed to Collaroy for the Year 7 Camp. At camp, students took part in a selection of physical and mental challenges, which gave them the opportunity to work on their teamwork, confidence, leadership, and friendships. These activities included vertical challenges, high ropes, the giant swing, archery, and much more.

While Year 7 were at camp, Year 8 participated in teamwork challenges led by Coastlife and a First Aid presentation by ACTWELL. Students also embarked on a pilgrimage to Sydney, where they visited Mary ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø Place and St Mary’s Cathedral in order to learn about our College patron.

Year 9 students visited the St Peter’s Campus for two days, where they took part in the YLead Program and a transition day to prepare for their move to Isabella Plains in 2024.

In Week 20, it was Year 10’s turn to visit Sydney to participate in the Urban Challenge. The Urban Challenge is a fast-paced adventure through Sydney, which consisted of a range of fun and engaging team activities along the way. Their trip also involved participation in the ‘Kids Giving Back’ initiative, which required the students to put together nutritious meals for people experiencing homelessness and food scarcity. Back at school, Year 10 also took part in a Reflection Day and Course Counselling to prepare for senior studies.

Congratulations to all students for bringing a positive attitude to these activities and for making the most of the opportunities at their disposal. Thank you to the many teachers who gave up personal time to spend time away in Sydney.
